FailSpace is a filmmaker workshop founded by Thomas Bayne to give directors a place to experiment, take risks, and fail without consequences. A big part of the mission is access: filmmaking is expensive, and a lot of talented people never get near the stages, gear, and crews they need to learn. FailSpace puts those tools in their hands. We ran weekly hands-on sessions on real stages, plus one-off events, and about 30 filmmakers have come through. It started as a scrappy workshop and grew into a formal university course. The idea is simple: you get better by trying things, and everyone deserves the chance to try.
